The career of Australia’s greatest-ever goal-scorer Tim Cahill will go on, with the 38-year-old confirming over the weekend he’s joining Indian Super League side Jamshedpur FC.
"I'm excited to announce that I'm signing for Jamshedpur FC in the Indian Super League,” Cahill announced on Twitter.
“I've been really impressed in my conversations with the club by their professionalism and goals for what they want to achieve.
"I know I can help the team on and off the park with my leadership and experience. I want to help grow the game and encourage young kids to play football."
Cahill retired from international football following the Caltex Socceroos’ campaign at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
But he’s opted to continue his club career, linking with Jamshedpur who were formed 14 months ago and joined the ISL as part of its expansion to 10 teams last season.

Cahill joins fellow Aussie Erik Paartalu (Bengaluru) in the ISL, while former Adelaide United and Wanderers boss Josep Gombau is in charge of Delhi Dynamos.
The former Everton and Melbourne City attacker is currently back in Sydney but will link up with his new club shortly for their pre-season training camp in Madrid.
The fifth season of India's top flight gets underway on September 29.
