Building a future for Hunter football

Northern NSW Football calls for financial support.

Northern NSW Football has reignited its campaign for financial support from the NSW State Government through the Hunter Infrastructure and Investment Fund to establish an administrative base, elite training centre and 5-aside football centre for the region-s largest sport.

The campaign, which coincides with the Hunter Infrastructure and Investment Fund Advisory Board-s final recommendations to the Minister for Planning and Infrastructure aims to demonstrate the level of support for the establishment of a Home of Football.

Northern NSW Football is currently co-ordinating letters of support from our member clubs to draw the Government-s attention to the need for a Home of Football.

The Region-s largest participation sport needs and deserves such a facility to ensure Football-s long term prosperity.

Such a facility will facilitate the identification and development of future Jets, Matildas and Socceroos who will represent our region on the World-s biggest sporting stage.

NNSWF has identified a suitable site, committed up to $4m of Members- Equity and secured the support of the relevant Government authorities.

Now all we need is the NSW Government-s support through the Hunter Infrastructure and Investment Fund to make the vision a reality.
