Aussies Abroad preview: Gielnik and Yallop seek to keep up pace in Germany and Norway

Having secured progression in the UEFA Women’s Champions League in midweek, Emily Gielnik’s Bayern Munich turn their attention to chasing down the leaders in the Frauen Bundesliga this weekend.

Bayern host Cologne on Monday morning (12am AEDT) looking to stay on the heels of leaders Wolfsburg and second-place Hoffenheim.

Gielnik’s club are currently in third place, six points off top spot and just three behind Hoffenheim, and will be banking on all three points against the second-from-bottom Cologne.

Over in Norway, Tameka Yallop will be hoping to continue her impressive goal-scoring form as Klepp host Arna-Bjornar on Saturday night (11pm AEDT).

Yallop has scored 10 goals in 20 appearances in the league, an exceptional return for the attack-minded midfielder.
