Jason Davidson has penned an emotional message to Perth Glory and their fans after his move to K-League club Ulsan Hyundai was officially confirmed on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old left-back was prised away from Glory by the Korean heavyweights Ulsan after a sensational maiden season in the Hyundai A-League with the WA club.
The ex-Caltex Socceroos defender - who previously featured in the Premier League for West Bromwich Albion and the Eredivisie for FC Groningen - had a year left on his Glory deal but could not pass up the chance to try his luck overseas again.
And after his transfer was officially confirmed, Davidson posted a message on Twitter to thank Glory and their fans for a wonderful year in Perth.
“To be able to come home and win the Premiers Plate and make it to the Grand Final in my first year in the A-League was truly special and fulfilling experience for my family and I,” he wrote.

Schwegler eyes debut against Leeds
Western Sydney Wanderers recruit Pirmin Schwegler admits he is counting down the days until a potential club debut against Leeds United at the new Bankwest Stadium on July 20.
The Swiss midfielder - who boasts 13 years of Bundesliga experience - joined the Wanderers in May from Hannover 96, and is one of five new signings coach Markus Babbel has made so far this off-season.

“I can’t wait (for the Leeds game), I count the days,” Schwegler said in an interview on the Wanderers’ official website.
“I’ve seen the stadium, it’s amazing like in Europe, like Germany.
“So we want to make (the fans) happy and we’ll give our best for that.”
He added: “I think there is something growing [at the Wanderers] and I want to be a part of it and I want to help. I know it’s going to be a good time.”
Former K-League stars on trial at Mariners
Central Coast Mariners are trialling two former K-League players, club CEO Shaun Mielekamp has confirmed to the Daily Telegraph.
Free agents Kim Eun-sun (31) and Lee Sang-ho (32) are both in Gosford aiming to earn places in Alen Stajcic’s Mariners rebuild.
The two South Koreans have faced Hyundai A-League opposition in the AFC Champions League, with Sang-ho’s Suwon Bluewings side facing Sydney, Brisbane Roar and Melbourne Victory, while the attacking midfielder also came up against Western Sydney Wanderers for FC Seoul.
Defensive midfielder Eun-sun was also involved in that Suwon team who faced Brisbane and Sydney in Asia’s showpiece tournament.
