The Caltex Socceroos are set to return to Antalya in September as part of their first training camp under new boss Graham Arnold.

Arnold confirmed the news yesterday in conjunction with Australia’s upcoming friendly with Korea Republic on November 17.

The camp will be the first ever under Arnold and will bring the Caltex Socceroos together for the first time since the FIFA World Cup in Russia.

It’s a great opportunity for both players and staff to meet and map out the future for Australia’s national team.

“One thing I do know in this job is there’s a lot of planning,” said Arnold.

“The three or four days in camp or 10 days in camp is the joyous part. It’s the planning that makes all that click and we’ve got a great plan in place.

“After a heavy World Cup and players going late back to their clubs, if we were to drag them to Australia it’s the worst thing for their careers in Europe. So were going to take a camp to the players and be close to the players.”

The camp will take place in the next FIFA International Window, which is 3 September to 11 September.

Australia will play their first match under Arnold in Australia on Saturday, 17 November 2018 at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane. Secure your tickets for the Caltex Socceroos’ clash against Korea Republic here.

The event is supported by the Queensland Government through Tourism and Events Queensland in partnership with Brisbane City Council through Brisbane Marketing.
