APIA were given little hope of matching reigning Hyundai A-League Champions Melbourne Victory when the pair met in Tuesday's Round of 16 encounter.
Kevin Muscat's side arrived at Leichhardt Oval without their Japanese star Keisuke Honda, but still buoyed by the recent signing of the former AC Milan man as Victory looked to ramp up their pre-season preparations.

In contrast, APIA were still smarting from the departure of golden boy Jordan Murray, and the horror end to the NPL NSW season that saw the Tigers hand the title over to Sydney Olympic.
However, what took place was nothing short of incredible as APIA overcame all the odds and wrote their name in FFA Cup folklore.
