John Aloisi claims he isn't feeling the heat just yet despite Melbourne Heart's slow start to the A-League season.
The Heart are still looking for their first win four rounds into the 2013-14 campaign, and it doesn't get any easier for the club with the visit of last season's grand finalists Western Sydney Wanderers to AAMI Park on Friday.
Aloisi's side produced a dominant first 45 minutes away to Brisbane Roar last weekend, but failed to find the back of the net, before allowing the home side to rally and run out 3-0 winners.
"It's obviously disappointing that we're not winning the games we should or picking up more points than what we should," Aloisi told reporters on Thursday.
"As a coach I have to look at making sure we keep on creating chances and stop the mistakes that we're making, which are only minor, but they're costing us at the moment."
Although he is yet to come under the intense scrutiny Frank Farina is experiencing at Sydney FC, if results continue to go against Heart, it will surely not be long before Aloisi's own future comes under question.
While acknowledging that the ultimate responsibility rests with him, the 37-year-old is confident the team - and the coaching staff - will soon be rewarded for their efforts.
"We have to be more ruthless in front of goal," he said.
"It's up to me to get that across to the players.
"(Am I) under-pressure? Pressure comes with the job. I put myself under pressure because I want to win all the time. If we were playing poorly, not creating chances, then I'd worry about what we were doing.
"We knew that it was going to take us a bit of time to get to where we want to be. We feel the results haven't gone our way yet."
