Coach Ange Postecoglou put nineteen players through their paces, with assistance from Young Socceroos Head Coach Paul Okon and Western Sydney Wanderers Goalkeeper Coach Ron Corry.
Youssouf Hersi was a late withdrawal due to injury, but all other squad members trained strongly and are determined to play their part against the might of Manchester United at ANZ Stadium.
"It's going to be a great challenge, we're not going out there just to get played off the park," said defender Michael Beauchamp, who played Manchester United while with Danish club Aalborg in a UEFA Champions League fixture in 2007.
"We want to be playing football, Ange has already said that.
"Obviously it's difficult to gel as much as you could with your normal Hyundai A-League side, but it's a great opportunity for everyone to go out there and show what they can do.
"I'm sure nothing's going to be left on the field because playing Manchester United, those opportunities don't come around every day and for some people it might be the only opportunity they get.
"You just have to go out there and grab it with both hands."
Prior to the commencement of training, Sydney FC midfielder and Socceroo legend Brett Emerton was announced as inaugural Foxtel A-League All Stars captain.
The 95-time capped international has faced Manchester United on several occasions previously while with English Premier League club Blackburn Rovers, and is well aware of the challenge that awaits he and his team-mates.
"I think it's (the Foxtel A-League All Stars) a squad full of talented players," said Emerton.
"We're coming up against a very good team so it's going to be a great test for us, but we're all looking forward to it.
"We're going to play in front of 83,000 people at a fantastic stadium, so what's not to look forward to?"
The Foxtel A-League All Stars will give their fans a chance to see them go through their paces in an open training session on Sunday 14 July as the side prepares to take on the might of Manchester United.
