Football Family Definition
Q. Who is in the “Football Family”?
Eligibility for the Football family is broken into the following 3 segments:
(a) Community Football Member
-
participants of affiliated clubs or schools (being players, coaches
and officials, and parents of junior players and referees) (registered
participants).
Affiliated club means a club that is a member of, or affiliated to, a
regional or district association, a state or territory federation or FFA.
Examples of exclusions would be clubs in competitions run by church groups
and some indoor football competitions. If you are unsure as to whether or
not your club is affiliated, please contact your State or Territory
Federation, whose contact details can be found on
www.footballaustralia.com.au.
A junior player or referee is a player or referee that is under the age
of 18 years.
Clubs affiliated to FFA are the 8 Hyundai A-League Clubs.
School means any school, public or private, that has a football program
whether they participate in a schools or club competition.

For members, you must be a member of the football club. Members of licensed

(as defined above) and who had been involved in the Australian game for a
continuous period of at least 5 years.

Registration Procedures and Benefits
Q. How do I register?
To register go to
www.myfootball.com.au. The registration process is self-explanatory and
all mandatory fields must be completed.
Q. How will I know if my registration is successful?
You will know your registration in the Football Family has been
successful once you receive a MyFootball Number (MFN). You will receive this
via an automatic email response. You need to remember your MFN.
Q. When do registrations close?
Registrations for Football Family membership have re-opened
permanently. However, it will be necessary to have a cut off date for each
offer or priority booking period. Cut off dates will be advertised on the
home page of this site.
Q. Will FFA be checking eligibility?
It will not be possible to check eligibility for all the historical
criteria which now apply to Football Family membership. However, the FFA
intends to track attendance by Football Family members in order to enable special treatment of our
most loyal members.
Q. What are the benefits of registration?
As a member of the Football Family, you will have a Priority Booking Period in which to purchase tickets to forthcoming FFA-controlled matches in Australia. Other benefits will include access to special offers and information.
Q. Apart from the Football Family who else gets access to tickets?
FFA has a number of contractual, operational and protocol commitments and
requirements for tickets that it must meet.
Our contractual commitments include venue members, sponsors, broadcaster,
hospitality, travel and other commercial contractual entitlements.
Operational requirements include participating teams, media and
broadcasting operational requirements, sports presentation and anti-doping.
Protocol allocations would include VIP ticket allocations for dignitaries
including the FFA Board, dignitaries and guests, and small allocations to
State and Territory Federations and Hyundai A-League Clubs.
A member of the public may also purchase corporate hospitality through
our Official Hospitality agent.
Q. Why didn’t you just put all of the tickets on public sale?
The initiative offers a unique chance to demonstrate significant goodwill
and support to grass roots participants and other supporters of the game of
football in Australia. These supporters deserve to get something back from
all that they have put in to the game. FFA has a strategic priority of
engaging with, and giving back to, the Football Community, and sees this
offer as a way of advancing this strategy
Scalping
Q. Can I resell my ticket?
Tickets cannot be re-sold at a premium (that is, above the face value of
the ticket) nor used for any commercial purpose. This means you cannot sell
your ticket on eBay, use it in a raffle or auction, or package it with
hospitality. If you do, FFA reserves the right to cancel your ticket and
retain the price of the ticket.
Q. What is the FFA doing about scalping?
FFA’s ticket condition prohibits scalping. FFA, together with the NSW
Office of Fair Trading, will be monitoring the unauthorised sale of tickets
online, including on eBay and equivalent auction sites.
